Angostura® 1824 is, above all, is an expression of our rich heritage. It was created to celebrate the founding of the House of Angostura®, by Johann G.B. Seigert almost 200 years ago and embodies traditions and expertise developed over the lifetime of the company. Exquisitely smooth and delightfully aromatic, Angostura® 1824 is blended from the finest mature rums, hand-picked by our Master Blender from selected casks. It is aged in charred American oak bourbon barrels and then skilfully hand blended and re-casked. Hand-drawn, filtered and bottled, it is offered in very limited supply. 

TASTING NOTES

Colour: dark gold with nuances of amber

Nose: a well-balanced rum of aged wood notes with a rich bouquet of bananas and dried fruits. Top notes of caramel and toasted vanilla

Taste: well-rounded flavour of spices, burnt sugar and oak on the palate with subtle notes of dried raisins and vanilla

Finish: medium bodied offering a smooth finish with a lingering aftertaste of treacle and tobacco
