 What’s a craft cocktail anyways?

Craft cocktails happen where every element is handmade or tailored specifically to the drink. If you are big on cocktails, you would understand the joys of a custom made margarita or martini, prepared just for you.

You can try out some homemade craft cocktails with these recipes:

1.   Clericot:

Place orange slices, red apples, green apples, kiwi, grapes and strawberries in a pitcher. Add orange liqueur and stir with a

spoon. Chill in refrigerator for 30 minutes. In a blender, combine the melon and water. Pour over the fruit in the pitcher,

along with ice and wine. Mix and serve.

2.   Santa Sangre:

Mix grenadine, gin, and ginger liqueur with ice until cold. Strain into champagne flute. Top off with sparkling wine,

stir with a bar straw to mix well, and serve.

3.   The Flying Fig

Place the fig and elder-flower liqueur into a cocktail shaker and muddle with the back of a wooden spoon. Add the ice,

vodka, lemon juice, and agave syrup and shake the mixture vigorously for 30 seconds to combine. Place a mint leaf into the

prepared cocktail glass and then pour in the mixture. Serve immediately.

4.   Charred Lime & Jalapeño Margaritas

In a cocktail shaker filled with ice, combine 1½ ounces charred lime juice, tequila, orange liqueur, and simple syrup. Secure lid

and shake vigorously until chilled. Double strain margarita into glasses, top each with a few dashes of bitters, and garnish

with charred lime wedge and jalapeño half.

5.   Grilled Pineapple Margarita

Grill pineapple over medium-high heat for 4 to 6 minutes. In pitcher combine jalapeno, cilantro, and 2 Tbsp. of the piloncillo.

Cut 2 slices of pineapple into wedges and set aside. Stir in pineapple juice, tequila, lime juice, and syrup. Let mixture chill for

up to 4 hours, and serve.
